Dominic was only four years old when he started drawing and this soon led to him creating his own comics. His busy pencil never left his hand until 1997 when he picked up a paint brush and his adventure began.

Escaping to exotic places, discovering different designs and marveling at magnificent architecture is something Dominic does in real life as well as on his canvases. It seems that his travels fuel his creativity, or is it the other way around?

Although Dominic enjoys intentionally losing himself in new lands, he also thrills at the sound of a tennis ball rebounding off his racket, or the powdery silence of snow as he swishes his way down a ski hill. Dominic likes to push himself to his limit, physically and artistically.

The bright, contrasting colors Dominic uses in his paintings are representative of his energy and desire to live life to the fullest. Standing in front of one of Dominic’s vibrant sports paintings is the next best thing to being there.
Colour = Emotion = Life.

Time tends to stand still when Dominic starts work on a new canvas. Unfortunately, this zeal occasionally leads to supper being forgotten until the next day. Perhaps Dominic would say that there is more than one way to nourish the soul. But who knows? Art is mysterious and those who create it, often more so.

But Dominic is not difficult to understand, he is an art lover who enjoys sharing his appreciation for painting with others. Ask him, he is always happy to talk about his paintings, or maybe even yours.

Helping others is just part of what Dominic is all about, which is why he donates a portion of his profits to non-profit organizations such as Centraide. He also supports Camp “O” Carrefour, a holiday camp for disabled youth, and Les Pinceaux d’Or, whose mission is to provide free painting workshops to break the isolation experienced by elderly people suffering from mental illness.

Dominic has served as a member of the board of directors for Les Pinceaux d’Or for several years.

In addition to taking part in various fundraisers, Dominic has donated some of his paintings to foundations or organizations including the Montreal Heart Institute, the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec and the Fondation François-Xavier Beaulieu.
